Michele Owens is our amazing Financial Intake Specialist that is responsible for greeting patients, insuring demographic and insurance information is up to date and collected the sliding scale fee at check-in. She graduated from Buffalo State College, Buffalo NY and has a 6-year tender with Roper St. Francis, prior to being employed at MUSC for 8 years. Michele really enjoys being the first friendly face of contact our patients see. In her spare time, Michele loves baking, knitting and fishing. “After researching the RWWC I just knew this was an organization that I wanted to be a part of this team. A team that helps, heals, listens, and the community outreach that is done for the patients made my decision very easy.” says Michele. She has a big heart dedicated to helping others and proud of her compassionate trait! Her best piece of advice is, “continue to climb even when the altitude gets thick...that means you're close to the top! So keep climbing baby!”
